Although Fiasco was booked as the headliner for the StartUp RockOn concert in celebration of Obama's reelection, the 30-year-old Chicago rapper apparently had no plans to cheer the current administration. Instead, after taking the stage at The Hamilton in Washington, he reportedly announced that he didn't vote for the president in the 2012 election and spent more than 30 minutes performing an anti-war song. I forgot to mention that had Mitt Romney won the election, Obama Care and Dodd Frank might have been repealed. Such a possibility is now completely off the table. As neither of these horrific laws were fully implemented during Obama's first term, the extent of the damage they will inflict on the American economy will not be evident until his second. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that the US stock market would be marked-down to reflect the permanency of these laws. However, the biggest mark- down will likely be reserved for the dollar, and the American standard of living that depends on its purchasing power. Also, at the 3 minute 50 second mark, I misspoke. I meant to say that "when Obama finishes his SECOND term the economy will be in much worse shape than it was when he began his first term." First up, as the Presidential race kicks into a fever pitched overdrive, candidates are taking to the web to connect with voters. Mitt Romney attempted to use a smartphone app to announce his running mate Paul Ryan - he failed when Twitter broke the news first. And Obama recently took part in a surprise Reddit AMA to address questions from users of the popular online aggregator. So how the President do. Not bad. He broke even in terms of upvotes and downvotes, but he soared in terms of visibility. At one point Reddit went down due to overwhelming traffic. The President answered 10 questions during a half hour session on topics ranging from the war to tax cuts to campaign financing reform. Obama's clearly capitalizing on the online strategies he successfully employed in 2008.
